When people get their showers renovated they usually opt for a high quality tile, common tiles include porcelain, slate and travertine. These tiles look gorgeous in most households, but some wonder what other options are there. Traditionally the only other option has been Stone Panels or Slabs, these massive sheets upwards of 8 feet long, extend to cover the bathroom with minimal seems and a truly grand look. The problem? They are thick, heavy, hard to install and will probably cost you a kidney.

Introducing Bolder Panels, Stone Source’s solution to the Stone Panels problems! Bolder Panels are the same size as regular Slabs, however they are ultra thin under 1 cm in width, which makes them light, thin, and easy to install.

The reason we can cut them so thin is because they are backed by a light weight Aluminum Polymer metal that is bonded to the stone. The metal acts as reinforcement distributing pressure along the entirety of the stone panel and stops it from cracking. The most important thing is this backing is completely hidden by the stone. All you see is gorgeous full panel natural stone at a drastically reduced price.
